In a large bowl beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy.Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.Combine Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.Shape Cookies
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.Bake
Bake for 9–11 minutes or until golden brown.Cool
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
